About Me

Katie Eaton is a Master Saddler specialising in saddle fitting and remedial work.  You can visit me at Ashen Equestrian Centre by appointment or I can come and see you at your yard.  If you see me out and about whilst competing with my horse Denver, don't be afraid to come up and say hello or ask for advice; I would be pleased to see you and, if you need and help, I do whatever I can.

I started training at the age of 13 when I worked during her weekends in a local saddlery.  The year after leaving school was spent at 'Cordwainers College'  in London.  I was then selected for the Millenium Apprenticeship Scheme and worked under the guidance of Master Saddlers 'Batchelors of Epping'.

In 2000 Katie was one of the first graduates from the Millenium Apprenticeship Scheme, having won awards for my work from the Society of Master Saddlers (SMS).

In 2001 I set up business on my own. Initially doing bespoke work and repairs, I subsequently specialised in saddle fitting and remedial work and became a Master Saddler in 2007, having met all the required standards of the Society of Master Saddlers and been nominated by two existing Master Saddlers.
